Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kilowatt Electrical LLC collects, uses, and protects information when you use Kilowatt Portal or online scheduling.

Effective date: July 26, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Kilowatt Portal, its public online-scheduling pages, and related customer services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Kilowatt Electrical LLC ("Kilowatt Electrical," "we," "us," or "our"). It applies to prospective customers, customers, employees, contractors, and other users of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account information, including name, email address, phone number, role, and authentication identifiers.
  • Customer and business records, including contact details, service addresses, estimates, invoices, payments, jobs, service requests, messages, documents, and photos.
  • Booking information, including requested service type, problem description, preferred date and arrival window, and communication choices.
  • Technical information, including IP address, browser and device information, application logs, and security events.
  • Communications and support requests you send to us.
  • Information received from services you choose to connect, as described below.

3. QuickBooks Online Data

If an authorized administrator connects a QuickBooks Online company, the Service uses Intuit's authorization process and may access accounting information needed to provide the integration. This may include company details, customers, invoices, payments, account references, transaction identifiers, and synchronization status.

We use QuickBooks data only to provide requested accounting synchronization, display sync status, troubleshoot the integration, prevent duplicate records, and maintain the security and integrity of the Service. We do not sell QuickBooks data or use it for advertising.

You may disconnect QuickBooks Online from the Service's settings. You may also revoke access through your Intuit account. Disconnecting stops future access but does not automatically remove records previously synchronized into the Service or records that must be retained for legitimate business or legal purposes.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Manage customer relationships, projects, scheduling, estimates, invoices, and payments.
  • Authenticate users and enforce role-based access.
  • Send transactional email, text messages, notifications, and service updates.
  • Connect and synchronize third-party services at an authorized user's direction.
  • Detect misuse, investigate incidents, comply with law, and enforce our agreements.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

  • Authorized users of the applicable Kilowatt Electrical account.
  • Service providers that support hosting, databases, authentication, payments, communications, file storage, monitoring, electronic signatures, and customer support.
  • Connected platforms, including Intuit, when you direct the Service to exchange information with them.
  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain limited backup, audit, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance records after an account or integration is disconnected.

To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. Certain information may be exempt from deletion where retention is required or permitted by law.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted network connections, credential protections, and monitoring. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. SMS and Text Message Communications

If you affirmatively check an SMS consent box, Kilowatt Electrical LLC may send automated text messages to the mobile number you provide. Messages may include appointment confirmations and reminders, technician status updates, estimate and invoice notices, and service follow-ups. Providing a phone number without checking the consent box does not enroll you in automated text messages.

Message frequency varies based on your service activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time and we will stop sending messages to that number. For help, reply HELP or contact us at jovani@kilowattinfo.com.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Opting out does not affect your ability to receive service or communicate with us through other channels.

9. Browser Signals and Third-Party Collection

The Service does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting them. Hosting, authentication, communications, security, and error-monitoring providers may collect technical information over time and across services as described in their own privacy policies. We do not authorize those providers to use booking information for their own marketing.

10. Your Choices and Rights

You may update certain account information through the Service, disconnect integrations, and opt out of non-essential communications. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email when appropriate.
